Scouting is growing and hundreds of new youth are discovering adventure as they begin their Scouting journey in the fall of 2022! The 2022 Join Scout Night campaign in the Buckeye Council saw more than 1,400 new scouts and families register for Scouting in their local communities. This represents a significant return to recruitment levels that existed before the pandemic. Families recognize the value that Scouting brings and are excited to take part in these lifechanging programs.

The Buckeye Council provides impactful programming for all Cub Scouts each fall to deliver the promise of outdoor adventure and education. More than 2,000 participants have participated in recent weeks at Family Adventure camps where they launched rockets, shot arrows and BBs, and camped out – many for the very first time. Additionally, hundreds of scouts have participated in our online Rocket Academy learning about space flight and space exploration through at home experiments and exclusive webinars with NASA engineers.

More than 2,000 participants launched their Scouting journey at Family Adventure Camp this fall!

"Family Adventure Camp is awesome because it immediately delivers the promise of why kids join," says Cubmaster Steve Walker. "I most enjoyed the chance to get to know families while walking down the trail and sitting around the campfire. It's a great experience that the whole family can attend including siblings who aren't in Scouts yet."
