Korban built a GaGa Ball Pit for the children and youth at the New London Alliance Church. Through the help of his fellow scouts, more than 170 hours of community service was dedicated to the construction of the the GaGa Ball Pit. Thanks to Korban, you'll find kids playing for hours at the church.
Andrew H.
Ashland | Troop 7586
Project Beneficiary: Freer Field, Ashland City Parks
For Andrew's project he planned to help not only his community but the organizations that are in Ashland as well. Andrew built a rest stop at Freer Field in downtown Ashland. This will also become a transportation point for the handicapped during our yearly Balloon Fest.
Daniel H.
Greenwich | Troop 7586
Project Beneficiary: Ashland City School District
Daniel built GaGa ball pit for his Eagle project. A gaga ball pit looks like an octagonal or a hexagonal shape. GaGa ball is similar dodgeball, players are eliminated when they are struck at the knee or below the knee. Daniel built his GaGa ball pit at Ashland Taft Intermediate School. An Eagle Scout built a GaGa ball pit there a couple of years ago and Daniel decided the school needed another pit because of how popular the game is.
Nathan H.
Ashland | Troop 7586
Project Beneficiary: Brookside West, Ashland City Parks
A mountain bike trail already existed at Brookside West, an Ashland City park, but it had an unsafe and unsightly trail segment through the golf course maintenance area and junkyard. Nathan worked with the nonprofit organization, the Ashland Bike Project, along with the city park director and city arborist to reroute the unacceptable stretch of the trail. First, Nathan framed and erected a sign containing a list of rules. Then, he rerouted the section of the trail by clearing debris and brush, contracted an excavator to fill and grade a steep incline, and rock-scaped the new trail that is more scenic and more technically acceptable for all ages.
Adan K.
Greenwich | Troop 7544
Project Beneficiary: American Legion of Plymouth
Adan created a flag retirement fire pit. It will used to properly retire flags that are donated to the Plymouth American Legion that needs to be retired.
