The Buckeye Council is proud to share the incredible success of our 2025 council-wide service project: Backpack to School! Thanks to the generosity of our Scouts, families, and supporters, more than 1,400 backpacks were donated this summer. These backpacks, filled with essential school supplies, will be delivered to local schools in the coming weeks to help students start the school year prepared for success in both school and life. Thank you to everyone who participated – each backpack truly makes a difference!
Helping others be prepared — one backpack at a time.
This spring, we challenged Scouts and leaders to pack an extra bag when coming to camp: a backpack filled with supplies to help students in need. As a special incentive, each camper who donated a backpack received a Super Slushie Mug, good for unlimited refills during their week at camp.
The results were incredible: over 1,400 backpacks were donated and more than 13,000 slushies were served!
