Morrow county serves more than 125 youth annually. In 2023, two of these youth achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

Upper Sandusky | Troop 6048
Project Beneficiary: Cardington-Lincoln Local Schools
Brandon added a rain barrel to his elementary school garden area. This rain barrel attaches to the downspout so that they can water the garden. Because the garden will attract birds, he also added a birdhouse in the garden area and across the parking lot near the ball field so the birds have several options.

Project Beneficiary: Cardington-Lincoln Local Schools
Lane added an Ohio native plants garden area to the back of the same elementary school Brandon worked on. The garden would include gravel pathways to navigate around the plants. Once completed this project would be low maintenance for the groups. It would be good for bird and butterflies and help control erosion and filter stormwater. The hope is that the garden will provide sources of pollen and attract the bees away from the playground area.
