Kohler F.

Crestine  |  Troop 6035

Project Beneficiary: Woods Nature Preserve

Kohler installed a new staircase on a hiking trail in Sears Woods, improving accessibility and safety for hikers. Steep or uneven terrain can pose risks, especially in areas prone to erosion, slippery conditions, or loose footing. By constructing a sturdy and well-placed staircase, Kohler helped prevent accidents, making the trail safer for hikers of all ages and skill levels.

Peyton G.

Galion |  Troop 7131

Project Beneficiary: Morrow County Dog Shelter

Peyton built and installed benches for the dog shelter, addressing the lack of seating in a fenced area where visitors interact with dogs available for adoption. By providing movable, durable, and low-maintenance benches, Peyton ensured that shelter visitors could sit comfortably while spending time with the animals. In addition to the benches, Peyton installed shade sails in the corners of the outdoor kennels, creating much-needed shaded areas to protect both the dogs and visitors from direct sunlight. His project improved the shelter’s environment, making it more welcoming and comfortable for both adopters and animals.
