Seth C.

Jeromesville  |  Troop 7521

Project Beneficiary: Hillsdale Local Schools

Seth's project was to relocate the flagpole at the Hillsdale Community Stadium. The existing flagpole was down a hill which made it lower than the goal posts and scoreboard. Seth moved the flagpole to a more honorable location next to the home stands where the flag could be easily seen by all attendees. The community immediately benefited from the new flag and flagpole where it is used for all football, soccer, and track meets at the school.

Jay K.

Polk  |  Troop 7521

Project Beneficiary: Inspiration Hills Camp

Jay Kettering's Eagle Scout Project was to build an archery range for the campers to use during their stay at Inspiration Hills in Burbank, Ohio.  Inspiration Hills is the camp for the Northern Ohio District Church of the Brethren. The range consists of 6 targets set at two different distances from a common shooting line.  Each target has a shelter built over it. These shelters have been cemented into the ground, have a small roof over each target, and support rubber backstops to stop stray arrows that might miss the target.  Posts with a rope on the ground were also installed at set distances from the targets to create a shooting line for archers to line up on.

Loundonville  |  Troop 4071

Project Beneficiary: Shreve American Legion

The Eagle Scout project Sawyer completed was an LED sign out in front of the Shreve American Legion so people can be informed of upcoming events. The sign is to the road so people coming from both directions can see it. The sign was constructed of treated lumber and metal roofing and concreted in the ground.

Gabriel M.

Jeromesville  |  Troop 7521

Project Beneficiary: Hillsdale High School

Gabe's project was to refurbish and upgrade the Biota Trail at Hillsdale High School. This involved cleaning the trail, removing brush and dead trees, remarking the trail, and building a couple of benches for inside the trail. He also built story books so the school can have elementary students read a book while walking the trail. This provided benefit to the entire Hillsdale school students and the cross-country team who use the trail for practices. Congratulations Gabe!

Vincent S.

Jeromesville  |  Troop 7521

Project Beneficiary: Amvets Post 1969

Vincent raised funds to purchase a drop box, decorated it with appropriate decals and wraps, then installed it outside of Amvets Post 1969 in Hayesville, Ohio. This box will collect old and torn flags so they can be retired annually.  He also created a distressed flag incinerator and installed it at Jeromesville's Fort Jerome Park where the Troop 521 scout cabin is located.
