The Buckeye Council is proud to share the incredible success of our 2025 council-wide service project: Backpack to School! Thanks to the generosity of our Scouts, families, and supporters, more than 1,400 backpacks were donated this summer. These backpacks, filled with essential school supplies, will be delivered to local schools in the coming weeks to help students start the school year prepared for success in both school and life. Thank you to everyone who participated – each backpack truly makes a difference!

A single backpack can boost a child’s confidence and set them up for success. By supporting Backpack to School, you’re making a direct impact on the future of our community.

This spring, we challenged scouts and leaders to pack an extra bag when they came to camp to help meet the needs of students in need. A special incentive was offered for each camper who dnoated a backpack who would receive a super slushie mug good for refills during their week in camp. Alongside 1,400 backapcks donated, over 13,000 slushies were given out.
